DIY step by step guide on how to stud your snowmobile track. Why? Studs enable sledders to travel faster, but most importantly the studs help keep a sled in control and, therein, make snowmobiling safer.

some ppl have asked to send me a donation for helping them out, thanks all that have donated, anything is appreciated: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=QJPVE9UMV8SE4 If your key won't turn or is stuck, no matter how much you wiggle it, turn the steering wheel, or press the brake, then you might want to try this. But use as a last resort, at your own risk. This is pretty common in Jeeps, at first my key wont turn in the ignition, but if I wiggling it a little it will eventually work. I have been doing this for over a year now. Until today, no matter how much I wiggle the key, turn the steering wheel, press the brake, it will not turn. I'm totally locked. So I did some research and found out that it is the lock cylinder that has gone bad and I need to have a local locksmith replace it at a cost of about $120 in parts and $50 in labor. Another option is to tow it to a Jeep dealer and pay over $900 for a entire steering column. OR You can just take a hammer or rubber mallet and hit the end of the key, this will bent the copper latch piece allowing you to start your jeep. ***Just be careful that when you hit the key that you make straight on contact, you don't want to bend the key, or break it off in the ignition.

My sons Veloster's alarm would keep going off for no good reason, tured out to be the sensor for the hood was acting up. this is how we by passed it, so that our neighbours don't hate us anymore. This is not a FIX, but it is a hack to stop the car from thinking the hood is being opened. Now it just thinks the hood is always closed.

Got a headache from the thump thump thumping of the flat spots on the skate board wheels? Here is an easy trick to remove flat spots with a drill and a flat file, and you don't even have to remove the wheels from your board. Its much quicker to use a wider sharper flat file then I did.

This is how I make Scandinavian Ice Candles, they are super super easy to make, and they really are stunning when finished. Great for creating a dramatic entrance to your home, or cottage. There are a few other videos out there, but I make mine a little differently, my technique allows mine to have a nice big lip to prevent wind and snow from putting out your candle. I also forgot to mention that I like to put about an inch of water in the bottom after they are done to thicken up the bottom even more. How To, DIY

Sorry no carnage, while crossing Brandy Lake, I pinned it, got up to about 170 km/hr about 30 seconds later felt it blowout, ripped my trunk off, broke the tail light, broke the beaver tail and bumper, and the front heat exchange has four gouges that are leaking now, from the stupid studs. Scary part was that I had no brakes, thankfully I didn't need them. 2003 Ski-Doo MXZ X REV 800. Beaver tail delete kit to follow. lol

Get it here: https://db.tt/S0qiH7st Lots and lots of people have downloaded the link above or asked me for this template by email, one fellow kiter send in photos of his final mount, including a mod he added. He took a straightened coat hanger, wrapped it around the base of the mount at the middle and extended the ends out at the same angle as his centre kite lines, curled the ends to run the lines through. the idea is that this will reduce some of the swinging, and help stabilize that cam. I posted his photos to Dropbox, links below: https://db.tt/QzeW27oZ https://db.tt/PyLKq0f2 https://db.tt/feryXwVP Using part of the gopro packaging that most people throw away, I will show you in this step-by-step guide how to make your own compact line mount for free, works just like some of the other very expensive Go Pro Kite Hero Line Mount. Personally I find the video that most of these line mount products take are really shaky and crap to watch, so there was no way I was spending $45 plus shipping for a mount to film this kinda video. But if I could figure out a way to make a line mount for free I figured it was a good investment. I personally find that line mounts are best used or taking photos. Side note, there is a newer line mount available, that sets the camera so that it is balanced between the lines, which in turn stop the camera from swinging so much. This is a great idea, I figured if I add a counter weight to my mount that it will do the same thing, the only draw back is that I now have twice the weight of the camera hanging on my lines. Hmm back to the drawing board I guess. Ultimately, I folded and bought the cam rig, that centre balances the gopro between your front lines, its was $50 at a local kiteshop. But I did have fun trying to build my own. Tutorial for the Gopro 3 accessories - mods, DIY projects

Replaced my leaky warped float bowls, because the plastic carb bowls of OMC engines has been known to warp and become out of shape due to the ethanol in the fuel. Also causes the "bb" or "steel ball" looking seal to fail, It is a common problem. Here is what I did to fix it and prevent it from happening again. Side note: I was told that the bb actually allows air to leave the float bowl when gas is pumped in, I'm not sure that this is entirely true. any feedback would be appreciated.

My lower ball-joint failed and my right ski folded under me, braking my tie-rod, so I had no way to steer my right ski.Thankfully the top ball-joint was still okay, but the ski still had a mind of its own. I was able to limp home with this quick fix to the skis, so that I would have some limited steering capabilities. So luck would have it, I was not going very fast when it failed, or things could have gotten very interesting.

Filmed this with my iPhone while I was working on it, sorry its a little rough. In the video I try to show step by step how I converted my 3 season cottage to have running winter water, I never have to drain my pump or tanks, and let me make this clear, when I say 3 season I mean we have a wood burning stove and some space heaters, and the cottage has no insulation what-so-ever. the interior walls are also my exterior walls, approx 1 1/2" thick, the ceiling is vaulted, and the foundation is on blocks. Every time we leave, the cottage interior drops well below freezing. We use the cottage a lot in the winter, sledding etc. before this system I had to get buckets of water from our well with a hand pump on top of it. I got tired of making trips out to the well, and not being able to have a warm shower. That is what inspired this whole system. The most expensive part is the heat-line that I purchased from Heatline.com, 65' run from my pump house to the dug well. In a nutshell here is how it works: All the main water components; pump, pressure tank, water heater, filter, are all inside an insulated box, heated by 2 light bulbs. All my pipes run under the cottage, and all the pipes that are outside this insulated box are wrapped in a heat wrap to prevent them from freezing while they are pressurized. When I'm not at the cottage I have two valves that I close to cut off the water pressure to the rest of the pipe outside the heated box, I then open the 2 drain valves to let gravity drain the hot and cold water from the exposed pipes. I then have to protect the drain traps and toilet with anti-freeze. When I'm at the cottage, once warmed up, I plug in my heat wraps, and close the drain two valves, I then pressurize the pipes by opening the 2 main shut off valves. I now have running water in a 3 season cottage, and the bonus is that I now never have to go through the pain of draining my pump, pressure tank and water heater for the winter, because they are always kept warm.

If you have an older stove or range with the storage drawer in the bottom, and it get stuck or jams, take a look at this. For years I would fight with this drawer kicking it closed, all because the track it slides on had broken a guide wheel. To fix the problem I simply removed the guide wheels from the sides, and the track from inside the stove. Then bolted 4 appliance rollers to the bottom of the drawer, it now rolls on the cottage kitchen floor, never jams or binds.
