NATO warships enter Black Sea, sail towards Ukraine
Turkish news agency DHA (Demiroren Haber Ajansı) tweeted the video of the passage of a group of NATO warships across the Bosphorus. Dutch destroyer Evertsen, Canadian frigate Toronto, Spanish frigate Santa Maria, Turkish frigate Gelibolu, and French auxiliary ship Var traveled through the strait on Thursday evening March 29, 2019 and entered the Black Sea. A large number of military men was noticed on the decks of the ships. Russian warships of the Black Sea fleet set out to sea to escort the group of NATO ships that had entered the waters of the Black Sea. It is expected that the Canadian and Spanish frigates will arrive in Odessa on April 1. The captains of foreign warships will meet with representatives of local authorities and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Sailing Into the Wild | Sailing in the Devil’s Sea | Black Sea of Pacific - Sailing Aulani Aloha 5
Sailing offshore Oregon and California into the ultimate wilderness filled with dolphins, whales, ocean weather. the ultimate wilderness. What is a wilderness? It is off grid bliss. Yes it's a place of isolation that by it's nature tests and tries the best of men and women. It stretches one beyond their limits. Often designed to break, humble, mold, shape and teach. It's a place that beckons full on meditation outside the boxes of religion, yoga and all such practices. One can die real quick out here. It's a place only for the vigilant, pure in heart, truth seekers, nature lovers who love the embrace and sensations that constantly engage all the senses and demands the lucid or third eye attentiveness. Out here I'm becoming aware that the ocean wildlife is undergoing huge habitat changes, migration rerouting, alteration of food sources. For lack of food some have become cannibalistic upon their own kind. Many have switched currents, seas and even oceans all together. This year for the first time in known history a path has melted in the artic polar cap joining the Atlantic universe with the Pacific. Off grid bliss in the ultimate wilderness. It would be a year till I made it to a city. Then discovered the existence of smart phones when I thought people were talking to me as they walked by. Then I wondered are they crazy talking to themselves. I noticed most everyone lost gazing into a wee screen of microscopic unreal existence. I stated on a bus hey I'm not in your dumb phone. I'm right here talk to me please. → Feature Flic Sailing the Wild West https://youtu.be/MbPbb1nPc_U I had no intention of creating videos initially. But I realized I needed to tell my story, share enchanting encounters with marine critters, people, isles and the ocean herself with a wealth of incredible information and inspiration not known like an uncharted island. That when known will bless, inspire and bring about conscious positive out of the box change. To make my videos thus far I pack my stuff into a Pelican case, kayak to shore often with dolphins by day and sharks by night. Starbucks is my office and my vessel is the staging grounds. Imagine what will be with upgraded gear, having some crew onboard and guests that gives some semblance of respect to the incredible beauty, sounds and adventures that await! https://www.patreon.com/oceanmaverick https://www.facebook.com/jehu.wood https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRCGVSyEhjQP5WWWF-8T25g Thanks Mate, Captain Jehoo (like Yo Hoo)

U.S. makes preparations to sail warship into Black Sea amid Russia Ukraine tensions
US makes preparations to sail warship into Black Sea amid Russia Ukraine tensions US may send warship to Black Sea to cool Russia-Ukraine tensions The US has begun making the necessary preparations to sail a warship into the Black Sea, a move that comes amid heightened tensions in the region following Russia's seizure of Ukrainian ships and detention of Ukrainian sailors. The US military has requested that the State Department notify Turkey of its possible plans to sail a warship into the Black Sea, three US officials tell CNN, a move they said is a response to Russia's actions against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait, which connects the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that its troops in eastern Crimea, which Moscow seized from Ukraine in 2014, conducted a military drill with its Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems. https://youtu.be/EB6yi0CVoEg https://bit.ly/2BT8fIu

Navy ships sail through Bosphorus Strait to rejoin Black Sea fleet
Two Russian ships returned to Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait on Tuesday to join their fleet in the Black Sea. The naval vessels- called "Novocherkassk"and "Georgypobedonosets" crossed the Bosphorus on Tuesday morning. The Bosphorus Strait links Turkey's Sea of Marmara to the Black Sea, where the Crimean Peninsula is located. Formerly part of Ukraine, a recent referendum there resulted in the peninsula being annexed by Russia. USS Caron getting rammed by the Russians in the Black Sea - Feb 1988
In February 1988, Caron operating with Yorktown, entered Soviet 7 miles ) territorial waters limit in the Black Sea off the Crimean Peninsula. Under international law, this act could be permissible if the ship was progressing from one point in international waters to another point in international waters via the shortest course possible, but according to the Soviet Union, it was the right of the USSR to authorize or prohibit travel in selected areas within the 12 mile limit. The United States however did not recognize the Soviet's claim in this case. To prevent it from becoming accepted precedent, the US Navy claimed that it had sailed warships through such areas at regular intervals in the past, which we had, not just two years prior. On this occasion, Caron had onboard a ships signal exploitation spaces system, operated by a crew of 18 in support of the U.S. National Security Agency. This system was capable of recording data on Soviet defense radars and communications. In response, the Soviets deployed a destroyer and a Mirka II class light frigate as well as a KGB and "civilian" ships to intercept the U.S. ships. Several times, Soviet vessels obtained radar "lock" on the Caron and Yorktown. Both American ships maintained a constant course and speed throughout the incident. Eventually, the Soviets lightly rammed both ships. No significant damage resulted to any of the ships involved. Both US warships sent an account of the incident to the Commander in Chief of United States Naval Forces in Europe. The Caron reported at 13:20 local time, it was informed on channel 16 VHF by the Bezzavetny: "Soviet ships have orders to prevent violation of territorial waters, extreme measure is to strike your ship with one of ours."[1] The reply of the Caron was "I am engaged in innocent passage consistent with international law."[1] The Yorktown, in its report stated that on 9:56, local time, it was contacted by the Bezzavetny via channel 16 and told to leave Soviet territorial waters or "our ship is going to strike on yours."[1] Then, according to the report, the Bezzavetny came alongside port side of the Yorktown at 10:03 and bumped it by turning into the ship.[1] As for the music, take note that this was shot on VHS and back in 1988, when we did not have Youtube. The only people we thought would see this was friends and family, not a bunch of people from all over the world. No the music is not masking the screams from the crew on the USS Caron, so if you don't like it, there is a volume button - use it Also check out the video from the USS Yorktown at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SME4w037FgA This is the video that the Russian news showed on the 10th Anniversary - All I can say is I can't believe that the Russian people believed and animated version of what happened over the real tape. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dl_WNdiShs&list=FLq9THf99pIznRTXM7P8JIWw&index=54 Also the video the Russians did on the 25th anniversary - They asked me for an interview and I declined for the very reason I that I knew they would not portray it accurately and they didn't let me down http://www.tvc.ru/showspecrep.aspx?id=e1564dbe-d8e8-4ba2-a142-218db8a6e14c Here is the Russians account of what happened http://fishki.net/19391-stalnye-jajca-sovetskogo-flota-9-foto--3-video.html

Russia's Black Sea Fleet expands to Red Sea and Persian Gulf
On May 13, 2019, The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation turned 236 years old. The first squadron of military sailing vessels under St. Andrew’s flags entered the Akhtiar Bay on May 13, 1783 - three weeks after the publication of the manifesto signed by Catherine II about the annexation of the Crimea to the Russian Empire. Over the years, the Black Sea Fleet had been divided and destroyed several times. Today, Russia's Black Sea Fleet serves as the country's main instrument of influence in the area of Black and Mediterranean seas. Over the past four years, the Black Sea Fleet has seen a major upgrade. It has received three artillery ships, six diesel submarines, two small missile ships, more than a dozen anti-sabotage and patrol boats, as well as several support vessels, including modular diving platforms and a floating crane. Before 2020, the Black Sea Fleet will get three guard ships, four missile ships and several patrol boats. A collection of new amphibious ships is being built for the fleet too. Today, warships of the Black Sea Fleet can conduct high-precision missile attacks from places of their deployment to distances of up to 1,700 kilometres. Russia currently considers an opportunity to expand the influence of the fleet to the waters of the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Persian Gulf, as well as to the western part of the Arabian Sea, for which the Pacific Fleet is now responsible.
