Normally you add one line and import a font... Yeah frameworks, they allow you to do the same as you can do without them, but much harder and you have to waste a lot of time to learn it. IT is probably the most stupid industry, where people follows retarded trends like blind monkeys, using time wasting, useless frameworks, even though they can achieve the same effect much faster without using this crap.

Awesome video! Also loved some of the additional details you gave along the way. I should add, for those who are interested, this also worked well on Android. Super appreciated!

Thanks. Is there any way to change the font of whole app instead of changing font of each component?
EQuimper (10 months ago)
Yes you can build a Text component who finally render a plain Text but with a new font-family. So after that you import this Text component and not the one from react-native anymore.

very useful tutorial ,thanks much , but can you explain why use expo and what is the benefit from using it over regular react native ?
EQuimper (1 year ago)
Hope you like it :) You can use expo if you don't feel the need to link native library. Expo it's a good wrapper over lot of component you use always like camera, map etc. No need to open xcode or android studio.
