Thanks for the video. You broke it down very well.

Gotta start adding these to my Linkedin skills lol. Great point because one goal request could be to influence the use of automated support hence the telephone number hiding. I HATE not being able to find a number too! By time I make it to "chat" support I'm upset. haha. Great video.

Thanks for your intro, it's helpful! I have a question, are task analysis measurable both on qualitative(the examples you provided) and quantitative(such as CTR or big datas) analysis?

Great video Mike! I'm curious to know, Is there any difference between Task Analysis and Usability Testing in UX Design?
Hong-An Pham (3 years ago)
Thanks for the clarification!
Mike Locke (3 years ago)
+Hong-An Pham Its the same really. Task Analysis is the specific term for testing individual tasks (how someone gets from point A to point B). Usability testing is the general term of testing how users perform many tasks on a web app or site.

Good video. Mike do you use any extensions for Adobe Fireworks?
Mike Locke (3 years ago)
+Ralphunreal No, I just use it as is. I do all my work with all the basic essentials tools.

Hi Mickael, thank you for your new video, i'm always enjoying it :) as like a junior UI/UX designer, it's very important for me to improve my skills and learning :). Keep going !

Very helpful video as usual Mike. Thankyou for taking the time to share your knowledge. I always appreciate it :)

A question I also wanted to ask you was Resume, and how a entry level UI designer with no college degree or prior agency experience can make a Resume look good, what to include etc.  My portfolio is good, and I applied for a few jobs online but received " Can you please show me your resume and where you have worked previously " which kind of intimidated me and prevented me from following through with the application.

Mike I appreciate your videos. I'm getting ready to purchase your membership, do you think I'll be able to follow it with sketch?
Kris Jolls (3 years ago)
+Anti: 3D Generalist and Layout Designer As a regular use of FW if I had to use another suite program for web design it would probably be Illustrator. Fireworks however is better than them both in creating prototypes and mockups.
Forte.Ui (3 years ago)
+Mike Locke I completely understand. I feel that the Adobe suite allows for more freedom in regards to making something look visually appealing. Also, is Fireworks still used heavily in the industry despite no longer being supported? If you had to turn to another program for UI design outside of the Adobe suite, what would it be?
Mike Locke (3 years ago)
+Anti: 3D Generalist and Layout Designer Yes, I've used Sketch, but as a power user, its not as advanced for me as I need. I'm so used to power tools and shortcuts that you only find in Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, etc.
Forte.Ui (3 years ago)
+Mike Locke Have you gotten a chance to use any new UI design applications that have recently entered the market such as Sketch?
Maikeru305 (3 years ago)
+Mike Locke awesooooooooome! thanks Mike, greatly appreciate it

Thanks for the video Mike. Quick question, I'm trying to build my portfolio. I'm getting job leads based on my resume but I really don't have a solid portfolio. Not to mention I've had stagnant clients so a lot of websites I've worked on have become expired due to lack of interest or business neglect from the initial client. How should I organize my portfolio? Should it be pictures, links, both? What does a typical hiree want to see me demonstrate in my portfolio? How much websites should I have? Are they looking for unction or just look? Typically I apply to and recieve leads from jobs hiring wordpress developer or php developers. I know you've made something in the past about this. I would love a reiteration. Thanks Mike, you motivate me to get this bread. Lol. I appreciate that.

+Mike Locke Thanks, I'll check it out.

+Eternally Gibson For your portfolio, just screenshots (no links to live sites required). Check out this video I did on what a simple portfolio should look like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZfS9xBvf-g

Mike Locke, I really appreciate your videos. You teach me so much about the UI design field without charging me thousands of dollars like other institutions. Thank you.
Forte.Ui (3 years ago)
+Mike Locke Is there a way you can do a video on your opinion on some of the other programs outside of the Adobe suite that are actually used in the industry such as Sketch?
Mike Locke (3 years ago)
+Anti: 3D Generalist and Layout Designer You're welcome, appreciate the love!
