Sporty. Comfy. Zen. Jeans and tee girl here. I could wear Nike's all the rest of my life, with everything. Nothing beats a grey t-shirt. Loved it 5 years ago, will love it 5 years from now. "Dressing up" means adding the right accessories to my white tee or sweatshirt and switching from athletic to casual tennies. If it takes me longer than 10 minutes to decide what to wear I'd rather stay home. Athlesiure is a new word I'm hearing lately. That's me. Thanks for the tips, Jenny!

I call my style retro casual. Sometimes boyish, sometimes girlish, usually retro inspired. I wear neutral colours in patterns, polka dots and gingham much of the time and usually various shades of the warm colours; red, yellow and orange. I wear a lot of florals in various colours too. I feel at home in both dresses and trousers but I rarely wear jeans, I prefer patterned trousers and bootcut/straight leg are my kind of thing. Dresses and skirts are usually flared or a-line. I tend to prefer simple structure in a piece of clothing but I won't say no to a frill here and there. I do like to experiment a little. All of that comes from a decade of experimentation when before I had none (school uniform and no clue how to dress) and I've learned a lot from that

What me helps is sicking to three colours: wine red, blue and dark green. Then I have a bit of brown, white and black to lighten or darken my outfits as I wish. In general I like a comfy, nerdy, nature drawn, witchy look with a some cute 70s / 80s styles. My basics are mom jeans, turtleneck, cozy wool pullover in winter and flowy blouses with high waisted shorts in the summer. In general I have everything high waisted and at least on part of my outfit has to be very loose. What I want to express with my outfit changes very often,so I keep my colours simple so that I have more room to up or down dress things and add things to give them a different vibe. But most important: Everything has to be very comfortable so that can move as much as I want and I don't feel like my clothes are blocking me.
Inga Lien (26 days ago)

Black and white issss sooooo easy and look always good!
Edgy. Black. Minimal. all the way. :)
hannahimsa (1 month ago)
My three words are Chic, Luxe & Feminine. Coming up with a colour palette has helped me a lot too. I stick to neutral tones like black, white, grey and beige and then accent them with 4 colours only: green, light blue denim, soft pink & maroon.

Im a mix of soo many things! Some hippie, some girly romantic, some comfy, some romantic goth, I have no name for it :p 3 items that i always wear in the fall/winter is thou a tailored long coat in either Dark red/dark blue or black, with a giant hood (aka red riding hood) a pair of knee high laced boots with thick heels.. and a triangle cozy scarf... and maybe a cozy beenie. The winters in sweden are soooo painfully cold :O
The Minimalist (1 month ago)
simple easy quick comfy neutral stylish business elegant but which 3 words would sum those up?

Scandi/Japanese design goes soooooo well together! Part of the reason why I (japanese american - not so close to either culture in my own personal life!) find your style so inspiring and intriguing. And I mean in terms of lifestyle as well :)

Hi Jenny ! I'm an art student and find it VERY difficult to stop myself and have one unique style. Do you have this struggle ? I'm so versatile, sometimes I only wear oversized clothes and have a boyish attitude and sometime I just took my high knee boots, a mini skirt and a faux fur. I would love to have a defined style like you do but I feel I would be bored ? I have a lot of grey, black and white colors in my wardrobe but again, I can't wear only these three colors all the time. I love your style so much and adore the japanase vibe in it with modern and structural clothes... ERRRh the struggle. (Search for advices so anyone can answer even if I'm talking at Jenny :D )

Oversized, a tiny bit extra and warm colours. I can't live without my reds (recently yellow has come under my radar, it looks absolutely stunning on darker skinned people.) Black and some other colour as a outfit can never go wrong. Big scarves are also my love AND hats. Gotta love hats. I want a bit hat collection.

Definitely have my personal style figured out! My three style words dark, classic, and comfy. I joke that my style is "comfy chic". I like looking like I tried but also being able to flop into snuggle mode at a moment's notice! I also stick to only black because I love black, and it makes getting dressed (and shopping!) easier!
Keighs J (1 month ago)
I think my style preference is opposite to what suits my body type! I love high neck, clean looking, Japanese styles, but I’m super tall and fairly curvy, I look better in a girly 1950s style swing dress. How do I bring these conflicting things together?
I loved the keyword exerciseeee tip! Thanks, Jenny!

Hmm, I think my three words would be classic, simple, and masculine. Not all my clothes fit that bill, but I know I always feel my best and most confident when I'm wearing something like a crisp button-down, straight slacks, and wingtip shoes. Oh, and I can't forget the small feminine touch, like a flower pin on the collar, or some pretty jewelry!
Rebekah Mills (1 month ago)
The robots. lol Mine 3 words: functional, structured, & classic.

This video was so spot on. I didn't realize such a seemingly simple thought experiment could bring so much clarity! I found it useful to go through my tumblr from 5 years ago to see what fashion and visual aesthetic I liked, and it turns out it hasn't really changed all that much surprisingly. Not sure if this is reflected in my personal style, but it gives me a much clearer idea of what I'm really drawn to!

The style I strive for tends to be a mix. I dress differently when I teach. Equestrian like I have money. Quirky like Ms.Frizzle for the magic school bus. Southern modestly cause it’s hot but I gotta be a lady.

my key words woud be : basic, casual, neutral. Can I get more boring? 😅

Sophisticated Dark Simple ... I think? I love to wear black, and wear lots of cool textures like velvet, linen, silk, etc... I don't feel like myself in prints for the most part, and I tend to look for necklines and cuts that are geometric. So, my style is both gothy/dark and sophisticated... strange combo I guess.
noshititskrae (1 month ago)
Oh! The goth comes out as artsy! Its more artsy! I look like an artist.

The whole "5 years" thing really made me think. I honestly can't remember what I wore five years ago so I am going back through old photos now to figure that out. Really helpful video!

1. Bohemian Paris - for everything French, vintage, & eclectic; 2. Ancient Muse- inspired by art, literature, ancient cultures, world travel, and this satisfies my desire to dress like a Pre-Raphaelite heroine; 3. Ballet- with every purchase I consider if I can wear it to Ballet class since I'm there most nights of the week. And leotards have become my new T-shirt! Thank you for the tips! This was so helpful and fun! xo

L O V E! This video was perfect! Short, concise and straight to the point. I've watched so many of these and they're always complicate or elaborate. You gave 3 really easy guidelines that are super easy to remember! And the answer is BLACK. 5 years ago, today and 5 years from now. Like a true Scandinavian black is my spirit animal :)

Minimal androgynous classic! I love menswear, classic clothing that has been around for decades (tweed coats, pleated trousers, turtlenecks, Chelsea boots, Mary Jane shoes and a-line skirts, to give you an idea) and simple and elegant designs and silhouettes. I’ve recently been infatuated with Elizabeth Suzann’s ultra minimal garments.

Eclectic, vintage, bohenian. My friends tell me that every day I look different but it always suits me. I wish my style (and my clothes) was more minimalistic but my eclecticism makes it hard.
Mulan 121 (1 month ago)
This was really interesting. Could you also make a video about how you care for your clothes to keep them looking so new? Especially because you keep them on open racks.
