Similar to my own very favorite Coop, this one is in a stunning red with some very special and toneful features.

Are these the Lollartron Traditionals or standard the humbucker sized ones?

Are these guitars available in Europe?

I get a bit nervous when you sit there with this brand new fantastic guitar with perfect enemal paint finish and you are leaning the guitar on that opened hard metal zipper on that hoody so it is scratching the paint for every twist you do when playing. I hope you did not damashed it to much.

That guitar sounds amazing. Love the thick but smooth low end and very smooth highs. Sounds like Coop really knows their stuff. Got an acoustic, Strat, Les Paul, and now I think I need a tele... :) you know, to uh complete the range, right?

I've enjoyed the even and functional, yet unique tone you get from your "justnick"-caster. I was wanting to try and build a similar one from parts.
Nick, this is a most beautiful guitar! Wow! Now I have to go to the Coop Guitars website! Taras

Nice review. Always a great testimony to the uniqueness of the instruments when two seemingly similar instruments sound different. Nick, I'm curious about the Lollartrons. Tonewise, how would you compare them to P90s?
JustNickMusic (1 year ago)
Different sound, much less hum. THanks!
JustNickMusic (1 year ago)
To me they sound less midrangey than a typical P90, at least in this guitar. More like an overwound single.
Yes, I would like to know that as well... Why go with these pickups over P-90's?

Nice guitar Nick! I see the Fender overlords have clamped down on yet another company re the headstock. I like what they've done with it though. It's got a retro look to it. Isn't this one identical to your blue one?
JustNickMusic (1 year ago)
Similar but mine is a different color, finish, no binding, different neck, different bridge. Thanks!

Great review, Nick, and yes, those Cabronitoids have a peculiar magic to them.

Gorgeous guitar, great demo. Wondering about that wider neck ...
JustNickMusic (1 year ago)
Doesn't seem super wide. Thanks!

Check with Pat at Coop--I'm not sure. THanks!

Me too!

that feature isn't just a split coil?
JustNickMusic (1 year ago)
Nope. It reverses the phase of the entire pickup which slightly shifts the tonality apparently. Talk to Pat for more info.

how do you feel the semi hollow bodied affects the sound of the guitar compared to being a solid bodied? Assuming identical pickups, is there really any difference?
JustNickMusic (1 year ago)
As I discussed in the video, there's considerably less mass in the body and a different resonant frequency. To my ears that's always accompanied by a little bit of a mid-scoop.
