OMFG LOL Yep leave a bike outside in London 6 minutes later its gone :p I have the Oxford xener disc alarm...
dantae666 (23 days ago)
DONT RIDE IN LONDON UK. the cover will do nothing they are using cordless angle grinders on the locks discs etc to get them off now as well as mugging you while riding at knife point

I'm afraid to say. You can't prevent bike theft.

Ur brilliant bro.

Some old timer Harley Riders told me about bike covers 1) Get one without a bike brand name on it. That way they have no idea what is under the cover. 2) Make the cover dirty and unattractive with some black over-sprayed paint and duct tape on it. Thieves will think it a crap bike because you have not invested in a good new cover. 3) Get a cover a bit bigger than you need. Then the rims and tires are covered so then again they have no idea what is under the cover. Plus they cannot figure out what type of bike is under the cover by the profile. As they said, people do not covet what they cannot see.

What if its a quad instead of a motorcycle

Oxford lock is not so great. The alarm speaker is on the top. If you cover it with your thumb or a piece of gum you can almost completely mute the sound. The lock itself is solid but for $150 you be better buying a strong non-alarm lock for a third of the price.

Hi I like watching your videos to see what is out there in terms of security devices, although I can't seem to find what makes sense to me. Is there a gps tracking device such as the one you reviewed that also has a tilt/shock sensor built in. I've found the tilt/shock sensor kits, but they all just set off the alarm. What if you are away from the motorcycle, wouldn't you want a notification on your phone? Please let me know if you have heard of a kit that sends you notifications from the tilt sensor.

How do you use the cover lock?
Isaac Karjala (2 months ago)
Never use combination locks on anything that kinda matters at all... Watch bosnianbill and lockpicking lawyer on YouTube if you need convincing.
James Batten (2 months ago)
A baby monitor is also a good device as long as it’s in range you can hear people around your bike and you can put one in your garage
James Batten (2 months ago)
A wet towel puts it down to 5 decibels all of these are deterrents that’s all the bike cover alone is probably the best anti theft device or just kick out the wife and park it in the bedroom 😂

Tip No1 ... Live in Japan.. You have more chances to struck by lightning than having your bike stolen... Basically, it's really peaceful here.. So peaceful that there are bikes and bicycles that are laying around in streets corners, never moved, huge layer of dust or plants climbing on them... Nobody would steal them... I love this country!

I have an alarm lock and always park my bike in sight of alot of people.
Chirag Ojha (3 months ago)
That is useful for those who have costly bikes. Not sure how much that adds up to .. but you get a new budget motorcycle for around $1000 here in India. Around the amount you suggested spending on security of bike.. I get it.. it is mainly for high-end bikes.. Nice one. Thanks.

$25 and bits with the size of those bits for the Kryptonite anchor you're lucky to actually even get those bits for under 40 nice touch on Kryptonite send probably spelled Kryptonite wrong but I'm not changing it so shut up LOL XD

I live in the UK so don`t think this is over the top as i see people over my bike contemplating when and how to go about taking it every week. I have a note on it saying max 5 mins to jack the bike for you max 2 mins for me to hear the alarm and aim my high pressure airsoft at your balls. I mean the Police don`t help us here and let them walk away with it all the time i could not give two shits over facing criminal chargers over any type of asault i cause these sub human gypo fucks.

I used the Lojack along with a mid-priced hunting motion camera that I put in the pannier so when they break the lock and open it up the judge has a picture so he/she doesn't have to guess who was involved since no thieves will admit to it. The pic goes to my phone

If your looking for a home chain and lock combo and if your budget will stretch to it...get a Almax Immobiliser Series V EXTREME 22mm + Squire SS80CS Stronghold lock... just the shear presence alone is enough to put of most thieves.

The weak link in your set-up is the ring on end of chain, get through that & your anker & alarm lock is rendered useless

Well the van thing isn't bogus as that's where my bandit went, but I do think they're more a London thing, and definitely more about targeted crime rather than opportunity joy rides and bikes to use in other crime. According to the police who handled my case, if they see a van on CCTV, it'll hit up several bike thefts in one morning and be found abandoned the next day with the bikes rarely recovered. Ultimately they don't really have to make a get away - white van in London? Go round the corner and you're one of a million. People won't even think it's odd if you drive like a wanker because you're in a van. Best anti theft system in London: buy a shitty chinese bike. I went from 4 thefts in 6 years to 0 thefts in the last 10 despite the escalating crime wave. keep your nice bike for the weekend and touring and commute on a piece of shit if you live somewhere like the UK

fun tip with the GPRS trackers. you can wire a ignition live power cable into the device to keep it charged up with out worry about it dying out on you. tuck it away in the rear cavity and youve got a good little tracker. as even if they do disconnect the battery its inbuild battery will last and no chance of draining the battery if left for too without use either.

Every motorcycle thieves should lose their hands and arms right away.
isai albelo (6 months ago)
It's always a hardtime for the biker by Every way. Why not make a hardtime for the thieves. Let's put rusty blades and rusty wires or more than one centimeter studded facing down where they can pick it up so after their attempt to steal a bike they can go straight to the hospital. How's that?....
